Leadership

Leadership is primarily a role of sight and service: one must first be able to identify objectives that are worth pursuing, and then have the ability to lead oneself and others to their achievement. Sheridan provides High School students many opportunities to live this goal out.

CLUB COUNSELORS - HOUSTON / AUSTIN

High school girls learn and develop leadership skills by carrying out responsibilities entrusted to them in the various clubs:  teaching, motivating and mentoring club members.

CREATIVE CUISINE - MIDDLE SCHOOL

High school girls can apply to assist Sheridan staff during Creative Cuisine by working side by side with the chefs, helping them teach, motivating the participants, and being available for whatever is needed.

CAMP bluebonnet COUNSELOR

High school girls have the opportunity to grow as leaders in a summer camp setting.  The training sessions previous to camp include work sessions on the goals of the camp, leadership workshops, preparation of the talks for campers, planning camp activities and first aid training. Additionally, the counselors attend throughout the year different activities which help them in their personal growth as leaders at camp.
