Dear Friends of Sheridan Study Center,

We are excited to celebrate the 40 Year Anniversary of Sheridan Study Center with a luncheon that will honor Kerri and Downey Bridgwater. The luncheon will take place on Monday, April 15th, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at the Junior League of Houston.

Sheridan Study Center inspires women of all ages to be leaders of integrity while encouraging them to discover new perspectives on work and life that bring fulfillment and freedom. For 40 years, Sheridan Study Center has stood as a beacon for positive change, enhancing the lives of girls and women, and contributing to the development of families and communities. Through a diverse range of programs, including leadership workshops, service projects, and recollections, we strive to impact the future of girls and women in the Houston area. As an initiative operated by the Southmore Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, our commitment is deeply rooted in making a lasting impact.

We are proud to honor Kerri and Downey Bridgwater, who for many years have been supporters of the Sheridan Study Center. Downey, with Kerri’s unwavering support, was the Chairman of Sheridan’s Texas Expansion project that marked the largest period of growth for the study center across Texas.

Our goal was to double the apostolic efforts in five years, and with Kerri and Downey’s help, these goals were surpassed by year two. Their unwavering dedication to assisting those in need, particularly through the Sheridan Study Center, has inspired us to express our heartfelt gratitude to Kerri and Downey by honoring them at this event.

During the luncheon we will have a panel discussion regarding THE IMPACT of Sheridan Center’s Mission and what each of the panelists have seen through their community, educational and business efforts to propel these visions to  impact the larger community.  We are thrilled that Dr. Richard Ludwick, President of the University of St. Thomas, Remi Webber PhD. and Rosalia Nolan will have an active discussion which is sure to energize us all on these important topics.
